We do our utmost to protect your data. We need personal data to ensure our services to you. Smit Giethoorn processes this personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself.

SMIT GIETHOORN PROCESSES DATA FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:

• providing quotes/order confirmations;
• providing and invoicing our services.

MINORS

Smit Giethoorn does not intend to collect data from people who are under 18 years old. That is why we do not offer services to minors. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without that consent, please contact us. We will then delete this information.

SECURITY

When transferring data, we use the so-called SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security system. You can tell that your data is being sent encrypted by the key or locked lock icon in the status bar of your browser.

WEBSITE VISIT DATA

On the site, we use Google Analytics to analyze how the site works and to measure the return on traffic sources. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or if third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence on this. We have not allowed Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. The information that Google has collected is anonymized as much as possible. Your IP address is explicitly not provided.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD AND INSPECTION

We store data on the basis of the legal retention period. We delete data that is no longer necessary. After the legal retention period, we will destroy all data.
You have the right to view the information that we have about you. You can submit a request for inspection, correction or deletion to the administration department. To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your ID with the request. We hereby request that your passport photo and social security number (BSN) be blackened in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. Smit Giethoorn will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

Smit Giethoorn only provides data to third parties and only if this is necessary for the execution of our order confirmation with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

VIEW AND MODIFY DATA

You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your data. To do this, please contact our administration department. To prevent abuse, we will ask you to identify yourself adequately.
